Biographical informationChin Toy was born in about 1873 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1895. He was five feet seven and half inches in height.

He leased a market garden at Bayswater before travelling overseas in April 1902 (A). He returned to Western Australia in February 1903 and worked at Wagin until at least 1916 (E).
