Biographical informationChin Tai Fon was born in January 1871 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in February 1887. He was five feet seven and three quarter inches tall.

He worked as a tailor at Carnarvon Street, Broome, from at least 1909 to 1934 (E). He had links with the Chinese community in Darwin.
