Biographical informationChew Quan was born in about 1869 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1901. He was five feet six and a half inches in height.
He worked on a garden in Bourke Street, Leederville, from at least 1912 to 1920 then moved to Sun Yee Sang's market garden, Charles Street, North Perth. He worked in Loftus Street, Leederville, in 1921 (B).
In 1918 he appeared before the magistrates court to testify in the trial concerning the assault of Tong Coon Thomas.
