Biographical informationCheong George was born in February 1880 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898. He was five feet six and three quarter inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener at Leederville 1898-1905, Osborne Park 1905-1911, and at Bayswater 1911-1913. He worked on a market garden at 13 Frogmore Street, Leederville from 1916 until 1919 when he moved to Chew Lun's market garden at Jandakot.
He travelled overseas four times: May 1915 to September 1916; May 1920 to August 1922; January 1926 to April 1927; and February 1930 to March 1931.
