Biographical informationChen Ling was born in 1878 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in November 1900.
He was accused of being involved in a 'Chinese smuggling racket' in 1909 (G). He worked on Pearse's market garden in Swan Street, North Fremantle, in 1916. He was used for interpreting by Customs officials several times (B).
