Biographical informationChen Hon was born in October 1879 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was about five feet four and half inches in height.
He leased a market garden at North Fremantle before travelling overseas in 1900, returning in April 1901 and then travelling again in June 1902. He returned to Western Australia in June 1905.
He worked on a market garden in Peninsula Road, Maylands, in 1916. By in 1920 he had moved to Wanneroo.
He travelled overseas five more times: July 1910 to December 1911; March 1915 to July 1916; March 1918 to January 1920; January 1922 to July 1923; and March 1934 to February 1936.
