Biographical informationChan Ping was born in November 1866 in China. He migrated to Western Australia n June 1885.
He worked as a cabinet maker at Wah Hing & Co Furniture Factory, 46 Stirling Street, Perth, in 1916. He moved to the Metropolitan Furniture Factory, Marquis Street, Perth, in 1919. He returned to Wah Hing & Co's factory in 1920.
Chan Ping was fined 20 shillings for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Perth in June 1919.
