Biographical informationBe Lai Ching was born in about 1860 in Bugio.
He was working as a labourer when he was admitted to the Lunatic Asylum on 26 September 1884. He was discharged in June 1886. He was residing at the Cleopatra Hotel in Fremantle when he was re-admitted to the Lunatic Asylum. It was reported that he had no relatives in Western Australia.
