Biographical informationAr Hung was born in about 1861 in Amoy [Xiamen], China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1889.
He resided at Perth from 1889 to 1915 then moved to Geraldton. In 1916 he worked as a labourer for Sydney Fong, Narngulu Farm, Geraldton.
In the same year he was admitted to the Claremont Asylum. He was discharged from the Asylum sometime before September 1918 as in that month he was fined £1 for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Geraldton. In February 1919 he was fined £2 and in April 1919, 20 shillings for the same offence which he committed in Perth gaming houses.
