Biographical informationAh Wah (5) was born in about 1868 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899. He was just over five feet and four inches in height.

He worked as a laundryman at the Hop Wah (or Hop War) Laundry, 63 Point Street, Fremantle, from at least 1913. In 1920 he was working for Shing Lee's laundry, 209 Newcastle Street, Perth.
