Biographical informationAh Tie (1) was born in 1849 in Khek [The Hakka area], China.

He worked as a labourer at Carnarvon and was admitted to the Lunatic Asylum on 31 August 1893. He was repatriated to Singapore and admitted to the Straits Settlements Asylum on 26 September 1896.
