Biographical informationAh Sue was born in about 1868 in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He emigrated to Australia in July 1895. He was five feet five and a half inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park in 1912. He worked as a kitchen hand for Key Hong, 135 James Street, Perth, in 1918 and the Chung Wah Association, 126 James Street, Perth, in 1919.
Ah Sue's left leg was amputated (date unknown) which probably resulted in him being an 'inmate of the Old Mens Home for some years' prior to 1918.
In April 1919, he was fined 20 shillings for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Perth (B).
