Biographical informationAh Sing (23) was born born in February 1881 in Canton, China (but stated 12th December 1882 in his application for registration in 1949). He migrated to Western Australia in 1893 (but stated 1901 in his registration application). He was five feet and one and half inches tall. He was married. His wife, Sui Ken, was born c.1886 and lived in China.
He worked as a market gardener at Bayswater from 1893-1894; Darlington from 1894-1895; and South Perth from 1895-1898. From 1898 to 1929 Ah Sing leased a market garden at Jandakot from Mrs Bush. From 1929 to 1948 he leased a market garden from Mrs Ladd, location unknown. In 1948 was working at a market garden at Peninsular Road, Maylands.
