Biographical informationAh Sing (22) was born in April 1880 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in April 1900. He was five feet and nine inches tall.
He worked as a gardener in Peninsula Road, Maylands, in 1915 and 1916. He then travelled overseas. On his return to Western Australia in 1918, Ah Sing stayed at 6 Alexander Road, Fremantle, for three months. In January 1919 he started work for Yee On [location of Cheong & Co.?], 437 Hay Street, Subiaco. In September 1919, he moved to Yee Sun's market garden at Balcatta. He worked on Sam Shing's market garden, Green Street, Osborne Park, in 1920 (B).
He travelled overseas three time: from March 1907 to October 1908; February 1917 to September 1918; and January 1922 to January 1923 (D). He also applied for a CEDT in 1912, but did not use it.
