Biographical informationAh Say migrated to Western Australia on 2 December 1884 at Derby on the 'Otway' to work for Poulton at Lennard River.
On his arrival, Poulton reported to police that Ah Say was "mad". Ah Say was sent to Derby on 20 December 1884.
On 8 January 1885 he was found wandering around Derby and arrested as it was feared that he would be lost in the bush or drowned in a tidal creek if he was not placed in custody. On 24 January he was sent to Roebourne for a medical examination where it was noted that he could not speak English. On 18 July 1885 it was decided that Ah Say was to be repatriated to Singapore on the 'Natal' (C).Other nameAh Say (differentiated name)
