Biographical informationAh Sam (3) was born in about 1858 or 1860 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in May 1889 via Singapore together with Ah You (16). He was five feet and six inches in height and was described as having a long face.
He was working as a market gardener in Perth when he applied for travel permission in 1896.
