Biographical informationAh Poy (2) was born in about 1872 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898. He was about five feet in height.

He leased a market garden at Leederville before travelling overseas in April 1902. He returned to Western Australia in June 1903 (A) and continued market gardening in Charles Street, Leederville. In 1917, he resided at 353 Murray Street, Perth, then 130 James Street, Perth, in 1919 (B).
