Biographical informationAh Lum (5) was born in about 1881 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898 leaving a wife and two sons in China. He was five feet and six inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Mundaring, 1898 to 1901; Maddington, 1901 to 1905; Burswood 1905 to 1911; Maylands 1912 to 1915; Hector Street, Osborne Park 1916 to 1922; Maylands 1924 and Leederville 1938 to 1947 (G).

He was fined £10 for 'Smoking Opium' (no date) (B).

He travelled overseas three times: February 1911 to June 1912; February 1922 to January 1924; and May 1937 to February 1938. He applied for but not use a CEDT in 1916.
