Biographical informationAh Lah (or Ah Lat) migrated to Western Australia with 30 other Chinese indentured servants per the "Champion" in May 1884.

His occupation given as "basketmaker". He was employed at the rate of £1 5s 0d a month.

Ah Lah was sent to Rottnest Island [Wadjemup] with one other Chinese to teach basket making to Aboriginal prisoners.
