Biographical informationAh Kie (or Ah Kee) was born in 1863 in Canton, China. He arrived in Victoria, Australia in 1889 and then moved to Western Australia in 1896. He was five feet six and half inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener. In 1898 Ah Kie was gardening at Wanneroo. He travelled overseas from 1899 to 1900 and June 1909 to July 1911. From 1911 until 1918 he worked on a garden in Peninsula Road, Maylands. Kathleen Hardy acted as his character witness. He travelled overseas from February 1920 to September 1921.
