Biographical informationAh Kie was born in about 1859 in Hong Kong. He migrated to Australia in 1882 and then moved to Western Australia in 1898. He was five feet eight and a half inches in height.
He worked as a baker at Port Hedland in 1907. He then moved to Perth and was recorded as a market gardener at Bibra Lake in 1916 and Lion Mill in 1917 (B). From 1918 to 1930, Ah Kie gave his occupation as cook (E).
