Biographical informationAh Kett (1) was born in about 1859 in China. He was brought to Western Australia as an indentured labourer in 1882.
He was employed by Mr Wallace McLeod, a grazier and sheep farmer, residing at Cheritta Station, Roebourne. He worked in a fencing team in 1882. He was charged with absconding from service and sentenced to one month imprisonment with hard labour and 6 shillings costs on 16 January 1882. On 10 July 1882, the Coroner's Court at Roebourne found Ah Kett, with Soon Kee and Ah Tong (7) guilty of the murder of Ah Moy (4) (C).
He was executed by hanging at Perth Goal on 27 January 1883 and was buried in East Perth Cemetery. His body was moved from the Presbyterian cemetery to the Felons cemetery, Location E73, on 12/11/1884.Other nameAh Kett (differentiated name)Date of birth1859Date of death27 January 1883
