AH KAN

Description

Biographical informationAh Kan was born in about 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887. He was five feet seven and a half inches in height.

He worked as a gardener before leaving Western Australia in January 1916. On his return in September 1917, Ah Kan stayed at Hee Kee's shop, 8 South Terrace, Fremantle and gave his occupation as shopkeeper.

Two months later he went to work as a gardener on Soon Hop's market garden in Curtis Street, Osborne Park.

In 1919 he became ill and stayed with friends in Swan Street, North Fremantle. He died in Fremantle Hospital in September 1921.
