Biographical informationAh Hoy (1) was born in about 1859 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1882. He was five feet and three inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at 210 Fitzgerald Street, Perth before travelling overseas in January 1910 (E). On his return in June 1912, he worked on a garden in Beaufort Street, Perth.
