Biographical informationAh Hoong was born on the 24th September 1881 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet and seven inches in height.
He worked as a cabinet maker at Wah Hing's furniture factory, 48 Stirling Street, Perth, until 1918 when he was employed as a shop assistant at Chen Hop's store, Market Street, Fremantle (B).
He was recorded as working as a kitchen hand before leaving Western Australia permanently in September 1955 (E).
