Biographical informationAh Hoong was born in about 1881 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet and seven inches in height.
He worked as a cabinet maker at Wah Hing's furniture factory, 48 Stirling Street, Perth, until 1918 when he was employed as a shop assistant at Chen Hop's store, Market Street, Fremantle (B).
He was recorded as working as a kitchen hand before leaving Western Australia permanently in September 1955 (E).
