Biographical informationAh Hong (9) was born in about 1878 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1893. He was just over five feet and one inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener in Albany in 1910 (E). In November 1911 it seems that he won first prize in the Albany Horticultural Society show for his vegetables (West Australian, Tuesday 14th November 1911, page 4), although he was overseas at this time.
