Biographical informationAh Hong (8) was born in about 1869 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1892 leaving a wife and two sons in China (A). He was five feet, five and a half inches in height.
Before visiting his family in China in July 1901, Ah Hong was a shop assistant.
In 1916, he was recorded as working as a shopkeeper in Claude Street, Katanning. In 1919 he was gardening at Broomehill.
Ah Hong moved to Albany in 1920 and worked on Suey Wah's market garden in Middleton Road.
He made five more visits overseas: June 1910 to March 1911; July 1915 to June 1916; March 1918 to August 1919; June 1924 to November 1926; and August 1929 to January 1930.
