Biographical informationAh Hong (7) (aka W.Y. Ah Hong) was born in about 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1901. He was around five feet five inches in height, but reduced to five feet three in older age.
He worked as a shop assistant in Fremantle before travelling overseas in August 1911 (D). On his return, in September 1912, he worked as a market gardener. In 1916 he worked on Wong Lee's market garden, Swan Street, North Fremantle (B).
Ah Hong was fined 20 shillings for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Perth in September 1919. He made two further visits overseas: March 1915 to December 1915; and October 1923 to September 1924.
