Biographical informationAh Goon (3) was born in about 1874 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898. He was about five feet three inches in height.
He worked as a cabinet maker who leased business premises in Perth before travelling overseas in June 1902 (A). On his return in April 1903, Ah Goon was employed in Coopers Furniture Factory, at 74 James Street, Perth (F).
Ah Goon left WA in November 1910 and, on his return in June 1912, commenced a cabinet making business (Wah Hing & Co) at 52-54 Stirling Steet, Perth. In 1914 he moved the business to 46 Stirling Street, and then to 14-16 Dyer Street, West Perth in 1916 (F). By 1924 he had lost the first joint on his left thumb and joints on his third and fourth fingers.
