Biographical informationAh Gitt was born in about 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia 1898. He was five feet eight and a quarter inches in height.
He leased a market garden at Bayswater before travelling overseas in February 1902 (A). He returned to Western Australia in March 1903 and gardened at Guildford (E).
He travelled overseas three more time: between March 1906 to June 1907; July 1910 to December 1911; and April 1916 to March 1918.
On his return, in March 1918, Ah Gitt worked as a gardener for Wing Lee at Balcatta, then moved to Ah Sam's garden at Bayswater. In 1919 he worked for Chong Long, Peninsula Road, Maylands. He applied for a CEDT in 1924 but may not have used it (D).
