Description

Biographical informationAh Ging (2) was born in about 1877 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He was five feet and five inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener in Osborne Park before travelling overseas in January 1908. On his return in May 1909, he was recorded as working as a shopkeeper (D). In 1916 he was working for Ah Ling & Co, 143 James Street, Perth. He moved to 177 James Street, Perth in 1918 (B).

Ah Ging was fined £5 in June 1918 for 'Keeping a Gaming House', and 40 shillings in November 1918 and 20 shillings in June 1919 for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' (B).Other nameAh Ging, 1877- (differentiated name)Date of birth1877
