Biographical informationAh Dan (1) was born in about 1871. He was employed as a market gardener at Walliston in the 1890s (C) and was working as a gardener in FitzGerald Street, Perth, in 1901.
In 1901 he applied for an immigration certificate to travel out of the state.
It is probable that that this is the same Ah Dan who died on the 28th September 1903 from suspected bubonic plague. At the time of his death he was working as a market gardener and living on a market garden in Clarence Street, Highgate Hill. When he got sick he was moved to 204 James Street, Perth and from there to Perth Public Hospital where he died. His body was removed to the quarantine station at Woodman Point and cremated.
