Biographical informationAh Chow (1) was born on the 25th January 1861 in Canton, China. He migrated to Australia in 1878 (these dates from his 1917 War Reg. papers; note that he gave different dates on his "lost" 1916 papers - date of birth 20 January 1860 and migration in 1886). He was five feet and two inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Johanna Street, North Fremantle in 1916.
