Biographical informationAh Chong (19) was born on the 3rd February 1880 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899. He left a wife in China.
He had three children in China: Ah Key (b. 1915), Ah Hing (b. 1921) and Ah Young (b. 1922). He was five feet eight and a half inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park from 1899 to 1914. He then travelled to China from December 1914 to July 1916.
From 1916 until 1932 he worked as a market gardener in Collieburn.
