Biographical informationAh Cheong (8) was born on the 4th of April 1880 in Kwangling, Canton China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1896 or 1900. He was five feet and six inches in height.
He worked as a laundryman in Murray Street, Perth in 1901. Worked at South Perth Laundry, Roseberry Avenue, South Perth from 1906 to 1920 then at the Sing Lee Laundry at 43 Lord Street, East Perth for 6 months.
In 1921 he moved to Sam Hop's Laundry at 234 Beaufort Street, Perth until 1927 when he worked in a laundry in St Georges Terrace, Perth. In 1939 he moved to Roe Street (B). In 1949 he was living at 193 St Georges Terrace, Perth.
