Biographical informationAh Can (2) was born in about 1872 in Canton China (CEDT files give DoB as either 1870, 1872 or 1873). He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He was just over five feet three and half inches in height.
He leased a market garden in Perth between 1900 and 1902. He visited China in February 1902 (A). He returned to Perth in January 1903 and continued market gardening (D).
In 1912, he worked a market garden in Guildford before moving to work as a market gardener for Ah Young, Springs Head, Osborne Park in 1916. He moved to a market garden in Charles Street, North Perth in 1917. He worked for How War, Belmont in 1920 (B).
