Biographical informationLee Chung had been in Western Australia for several years when he travelled to China c.1898. In 1900 he applied for a certificate to return to the colony. In 1900 he was described as 42 years of age and worked as a gardener. He had been involved in the Presbyterian Chinese Mission School and could read and write "very good English". He returned to WA per SS Sultan in May 1901.
